As a new driver, I learned a lot of road rules. You always need to come to a complete stop. Make sure your headlights are on at night and in the early morning. Use your blinkers. Don't use your phone.
But with so many rules and regulations, I couldn't find any about using my pump while driving.
Is it considered an "electronic" device? Do I have the right to use it while driving? What are the rules? Is it considered "illegal" to use a Pump? Can I get pulled over?
I know at the end of the day, it's up to me to make the judgement call of whether or not I should be able to use my Pump or not. I need to be able to consider other people on the roads safety.
And the fact is that I don't think I am a responsible drive enough to use a pump and bolus while driving (and truthfully I don't think anyone else is really). Because the fact is, it's just as distracting as a phone!!
While I understand that there can not be laws for every little thing (aka pimps) it just worries me that if there's not laws for pumps, what else aren't there laws for?
