Yes2College 2017 = Success!

As many of you might have read on my blog, I was recently the organizer/coordinator of Yes2College - an annual diabetic event in the Sacramento area! With that said, I am happy to announce that it was a success!

I had a lot of fun organizing the event and meeting many new people! I had the chance to listen to many motivated speakers, and the opportunity to help contribute to such a great event that helps so many diabetic families in my community! This year, I was the MC for the event, meaning I introduced speakers, talked in between, provided the audience with information, etc., rather than speak like I did last year.

While I do love public speaking, I believe that by being the MC I was able to sit back and watch others and help out more.

While I know not many people read my blog (hopefully more will in the future?) I want to urge all diabetics to consider coming to this event in the future. While it is not necessarily a "fun" event, it is very informative and a great way to come and be part of the diabetic community and learn about college and how to life a long, healthy, and safe life with a life-long disease!

I am so appreciative of my doctor, Dr. Prakasam, for giving me this chance and opportunity to help out, and I can't wait to come back and be part of Yes2College next year!
